​In the annals of Philippine history, General Miguel Malvar stands as a remarkable figure, known for his leadership during a tumultuous period. He was not just any leader; he was the last in the line of succession among Filipino generals actively resisting U.S. occupation, and many considered him a de facto President of the Philippines. While many stories highlight his bravery and resilience, one particular event in Rosario, Batangas, marked a significant turning point in the country's struggle for independence.

The Sinukmani Festival 2024 began on June 5 and concluded on June 9, the founding anniversary of Rosario. The full list of events is as follows:

A popular supermarket chain in Batangas opens in Barangay Namunga, Rosario, Batangas last December 15, 2023. It is the 10th Citimart branch and 8th in the province of Batangas. Its supermarket at the basement is fully operational while shops at the ground floor and the entire 2nd floor are to follow. Makeshift free taste booths at the ground floor were installed during the grand opening. We failed to cover these in our video including the ribbon cutting and some events at the activity area.

A KFC store opens in Barangay Namunga, Rosario, Batangas last December 28, 2023. It is the 375th KFC store in the Philippines and the 13th in the Province of Batangas. The first 100 customers of the branch received a free tote bag.

This year's celebration includes singing contest, marching band parade, procession, fireworks display, serenata, concelebrated mass, and beauty pageant. All photo credits to FB pages of Mayor Leovy Morpe, Sangguniang Bayan ng Rosario, and Our Lady of the Rosary Parish.
